- I am now happily retired after 32 years of a great career that included 10 years on SWAT, and flying helicopters and running a large Aviation Division at the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Fl. Sure miss flying, but love the freedom that retirement offers. I have travelled a lot to Southeast Asia (Thailand and Cambodia) and look forward to going there and staying longer and seeing other countries, including Laos, Vietnam, Myannmar, China, Peru, and Tibet. I still enjoy meeting up with my best friends and hiking and biking in the mountains of North Carolina (after nearly 20 years of doing this) and snowmobiling in the U.P. of Michigan. I plan to do volunteer work at a Hmong Refugee Camp in northeastern Thailand when I return there next year.
